Spring Into Easter with These 10 Egg Hunts

Easter is April 17 this year, but why pack all the egg-celent festivities into one day? Hop on over to one of these egg hunts around the Twin Cities metro to start your holiday fun a little early. 

Mattocks Park, St. Paul: This Community Egg Hunt and spring celebration will offer egg hunts for various age groups, a petting zoo, and even a photo opportunity with the bunny. Saturday, April 9; 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

Community of Grace Lutheran Church, White Bear Lake: This Easter Egg Hunt is an immersive walk-through experience, offering face painting, games, and more. Saturday, April 9; 10 a.m.-noon

Lions Park, Shakopee: The extensive lineup of activities at the Egg Hunt & Candy Grab include photos with the Easter Bunny, llamas, face painting, caricature artists, games, crafts, a bounce house, and of course, egg hunts. Saturday, April 9; 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Sunny Acres Park, Anoka: 10,000 candy-filled eggs will await hunters at this Easter Egg Extravaganza. Prizes, food, beverages, and visits with the Easter Bunny will also be available. Sunday, April 10; noon-2 p.m.

Merriam Park Recreation Center, St. Paul: If a sunset egg hunt is more your family’s style, check out the Dusk Hunt for games, crafts, and outdoor evening fun. Thursday, April 14; 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Andrews Park, Champlin: Hunt for eggs and visit with the Easter Bunny at this Family Easter Egg Hunt. Friday, April 15; Tiny Tot Egg Hunt begins at 11 a.m., Main Family Hunt begins at 11:45 a.m.

Logan Park, Minneapolis: Head over to Northeast Minneapolis for the Mill City Church Easter Egg Hunt. After the hunt, grab a snack or two and check out the games, crafts, and bounce house on site. Saturday, April 16; 10 a.m.-noon

City Center Park, Chanhassen: Kids ages 12 and under are invited to participate in the City of Chanhassen’s annual Easter Egg Candy Hunt. Make sure to stick around after the hunt for photos with the Easter Bunny. Saturday, April 16; 9 a.m.

Aamodt’s Apple Farm, Stillwater: Over 2,000 candy-filled eggs will be hidden at this Easter Egg-Stravaganza. The event will also include an Easter Bunny meet-and-greet, live music, seasonal food options, and hard cider for the adults. Saturday, April 16; noon-4 p.m.

Van Cleve Park, Minneapolis: This Annual Spring Egg Hunt offers age-structured hunts for the whole family, as well as craft activities like tissue paper flowers, spin art, and Easter baskets. Saturday, April 16; 10:30 a.m.-noon
