This Sunday, the Twin Cities’ thriving vintage scenes meets its newest addition—The Standard. And the name says it all. Dreamt up by the collective behind Northeast Minneapolis’ Olio Vintage, the biannual vintage market aims to establish a new standard of quality within the local vintage scene, uniting an intimate and intentional curation of 20-plus vintage vendors, makers, and artists. Described by founders as a love letter to local shoppers, the event aims to create a new kind of experience for Minnesota’s growing community of vintage lovers.

“While the region already has a strong vintage scene, The Standard brings together sellers who focus on quality, curation, and style in a way that feels fresh and aspirational,” says Jahna Peloquin, owner of Rosella Vintage. “It’s about raising the bar and showcasing how diverse, modern, and fashion-forward vintage can be.”

The vendor lineup unites co-founder Carrie Martinson’s Olio Vintage with resident vendors Rosella Vintage, Black Nvni, and Oubliette, alongside a diverse mix of popular and emerging brands from across Minnesota—from Collecting Dust Vintage to River Road Rags, a collector who runs between the Twin Cities and southeastern Minnesota. But the selection extends beyond fashion, bridging the gap between style and design with original artworks and prints by Caitlin Karolczak, upcycled jewelry by McKinney Vintage, and custom chain stitching by Nickey Robo, to name just a few.

“Vintage and handmade goods naturally go hand in hand. Both are about storytelling, craftsmanship, and sustainability, and they appeal to people who appreciate having unique and intentional items in their wardrobe and homes,” says Peloquin. “Including local makers and artists broadens the conversation—it’s not just about vintage but about supporting creativity and investing in community and sustainability.”

The event debuts Oct. 12 at Hennepin Hall in Northeast Minneapolis and in addition to its top-tier lineup of vendors, will include a full bar with mimosas, bloody Marys, and coffee, food for purchase, and live vinyl DJ set by Danielle Morris of Lady Heat. Peloquin’s hope is that attendees leave the event feeling inspired—not just by a new purchase, but by the creative atmosphere and collaborative community that surrounds them.

“It should feel more like an immersive event than just a market: music, fashion, design, and connection all under one roof.”

Stop by The Standard Sunday, Oct. 12, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., at Hennepin Hall, 983 E. Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis.
