What: 52nd Annual Traditional Mahkato Wacipi

Powwow, or Wacipi (meaning “they dance” in Dakota), is a time for Native American communities to gather for dancing, singing, and socializing. It serves as a celebration of heritage, renewing old friendships while preserving cultural traditions.

In a Barbie World

What: Barbie: A Cultural Icon Exhibition
When: Sept. 20-22 (10a.m.-4 p.m.)
Where: 350 Harbor Drive, Duluth

The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) presents “Barbie: A Cultural Icon”, an exclusive Minnesota exhibition celebrating Barbie’s 65th anniversary. It features over 300 vintage artifacts, life-size displays, and interactive photo opportunities showcasing Barbie’s impact on fashion and popular culture.

A Taste of Korea

What: Korean Culture Festival
When: Sept. 21 (1-5 p.m.)
Where: Huntington Bank Rotunda, Mall of America, Bloomington

The Korean Culture Festival, hosted by the Korean American Association of Minnesota (KAAM) features K-pop dance, Taekwondo demos, traditional performances, music, and K-games.
