About Barron’s Financial Adviser Rankings
Barron’s acquired The Winner’s Circle in September, 2008, and employs two full-time researchers to gather the data behind four adviser rankings per year: Top 100 Advisers, Top 100 Women Advisers, Top 100 Independent Advisers and Top 1,000 Advisers (a state-by-state ranking).
The rankings are the foundation of Barron’s financial-adviser business, which promotes financial adviser best practices through conferences and a subscription-only Web site. Barron’s financial-adviser business is a year-round, industry-wide endeavor. Barron’s is committed to tracking the progress of America’s best advisers and showcasing their best practices in a way that helps raise standards in the industry.
Rankings are based on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, and we evaluate more than 3,000 nominations each year. The research is independent and run with the rigorous editorial standards that characterize Barron’s reporting.
