Whether it’s for St. Patrick’s Day, your birthstone, or the arrival of spring, go green this month with some of these accessories by Minnesota businesses and makers.
Baby Yoda by Love Your Melon
We know, we know: The snow is melting, and winter is basically over (knock on wood). We couldn’t let these Love Your Melon products slip by without some sort of mention, though. Obviously, the green in this Star Wars’ Mandalorian is the baby yoda hat, but why would you ever break up such a good pair? Right now, the shop is on hiatus until its BOGO Day, which begins Sunday, March 8, at 11 p.m.
Update, March 10: Unfortunately, the Mandalorian beanies are all sold out (are we surprised?). A Love Your Melon representative says they will be restocked fall 2020 around the start of the second season of the show.
Echo Necklace by Larissa Loden
This long necklace by Larissa Loden balances geometric minimalism with natural stones and a little bit of shine perfectly. If for some reason you don’t want the green aventurine, a rainbow of other options are available.
Emerald & Diamond Ring at Filigree
This ring isn’t so much of a seasonal purchase as it is future heirloom material, courtesy of Filigree Jewlers. With a 0.11 carat emerald set into a halo of diamonds and milgrained 18k yellow gold, this ring is catches the eye and becomes more beautiful and intricate the longer you look at it. As part of Filigree’s estate and fine jewelry collection, this is the only one available, but as always, the jewelry shop has plenty of sparkling treasures to choose from.
Golden Bee Clutch by Angela Valentine Bags
Decorated with this Minnesotan brand’s signature gold bees, this green clutch by Angela Valentine is made with the same craftsmanship and one-at-a-time care as the rest of the collection. For an over-the-shoulder bag that shares the color and bees but skips the crocodile texture, consider the Gavi Shoulder Bag.
Midnight Palms BBQ Matching Shirts by Dog Threads
Don this outfit all spring and summer long—extra points if you match your dog. This tropical shirt comes in sizes for men, women, children, and dogs and, if you really feel like going to battle, your cat. (Disclaimer: Dog Threads fit their shirts to dogs and have never endorsed putting their apparel on cats, so don’t blame them if you come away with claw marks.) In case you haven’t heard of the Minnesota-based company, check out our profile on them to find out how it all began, how they give back, and how they walked away with $250,000 from Shark Tank.
