Timberwolves and Surly Brewing Co. ’Bring the Nice’ with exclusive beer

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Surly Brewing Co. are kicking off the holiday season with something special for fans: a brand-new, arena-exclusive brew called Nice Beer. Launching on Dec. 19, this limited-edition beer will be available only at Target Center, marking the start of a new partnership between the Timberwolves, Lynx, and Surly Brewing.

Bringing the Nice to Minnesota Fans 

The Timberwolves’ new season campaign, “Bring the Nice” aims to spread positivity and good vibes across the state. And in a serendipitous twist, Surly was already working on a beer aptly named Nice Beer—a balanced, approachable brew set to launch in 2025. When the two brands realized their mutual alignment, a collaboration was born.

“We are so excited to launch this partnership with Surly Brewing Co.,” said Ryan Tanke, Chief Operating Officer of the Timberwolves and Lynx in a recent press release. “With the unveiling of our ‘Bring the Nice’ campaign and Surly’s development of Nice Beer, it felt like the perfect time to make this happen.”

Omar Ansari, founder of Surly Brewing Co., echoed the sentiment, saying, “We watched the entire state rally behind both teams in last year’s playoffs. Surly wants to be there when they finish the job.”

A Special Debut at Target Center

The Nice Beer exclusive can will make its debut at Target Center on Friday, Dec. 19, when the Timberwolves face off against the New York Knicks. The tallboy can features Timberwolves team colors and the ‘Bring the Nice’ slogan, creating a unique fan experience to celebrate the season.

In addition to the exclusive Nice Beer, Target Center will continue offering fan favorites like Surly’s Furious IPA and Mosh Pit Hazy IPA throughout the season. Whether you’re enjoying the game or just soaking in the atmosphere, these craft beers are sure to enhance the experience.
