If you are one who is up for bold, crazy winter fun, come to Mankato January 17-26 for the inaugural SnowKato Days. This 10-day winter festival falls on the 100th Anniversary of Mankato’s 1920 Winter Festival, and we are bringing back the frozen fun with activities such as Glow tubing, SnowDazzle in the City Center, the Medallion Hunt and more!

SnowKato Days features a full lineup of events and activities that are fun for all ages. Test your creativity and get entered into the coloring and snowman-building contests. Be sure to keep an eye out for clues from the Mankato Free Press because there is a $500 prize up for grabs in the Medallion Hunt.
Sign up your two-person team for the Jack Frost Frolic hosted on January 18 in Mankato’s Sibley Park. You and your team will be tasked to complete four wintery challenges filled with snowy shenanigans, tremendous trickery, and mischievous fun! Cross the finish line with the most cocoa left in your mug (you got it, you need to carry it with you throughout the challenges) and win!

Join a guided Fat Bike ride on January 21 along the Kiwanis Mountain Bike Trail, which was named, along with Skills Park, as one of “Minnesota’s Top Fat Bike Trails You’ve Never Heard Of” by Singletrack.
Take advantage of all the recreational activities Mankato has to offer such as snowshoeing, curling activities and more. Fly down the slopes of Mount Kato on a pair of skis all season long and experience Glow tubing on the nights of January 24 and 25, with fun flashing lights, giant glow sticks, and music.
On January 23-25, Mayo Clinic Health System presents SnowDazzle on the Plaza. The City Center Plaza will be illuminated with dazzling lights and hand-crafted ice carvings which are perfect for those #Instagrammable moments before or after the Mankato State University Maverick Hockey matchups at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center.
