1. Mr. And Mrs. Claus Watching The Deck The Falls Fireworks
The 27th Annual Cannon Falls’ Deck the Falls (DTF) Parade is set for Saturday, November 26th, at 5 pm. The City Police will be leading the parade, with lighted firetrucks and ambulances following. Father Christmas will be walking along with elfs passing out candy canes and lighted trinkets. The Chamber Floats will be Polar Express, Frozen, and Nutcracker. Plus, there will be a Grinch here too. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on the last float to complete the parade. Don’t leave yet, stay for the Tree Lighting Ceremony and our Holiday Fireworks! Kick-off your holiday season in charming Downtown Cannon Falls. Find a Deck the Falls program schedule at local businesses. The discounts, sales and open houses are scheduled throughout the day. Make sure to visit local businesses to register for the prize drawings during the Lighting of the Tree Ceremony at 6 pm. 2. Hermanson House Light
Over the holidays, Cannon Falls is decorated for Christmas. There are homes and businesses throughout our community that are all Lite Up! Come and find the home that has their decorations set to music through a connection to your radio. If you need the Holiday Spirit, come to Cannon Falls and get Lite Up.
3. Belle Creek Bridge
The Belle Creek Bridge is part of the Cannon Valley Trail that connects Cannon Falls, Welch, and Red Wing. Cross-country skiing, biking and hiking are allowed on our plowed trail. Please check our website for trail conditions and closures. The Lake Byllesby Regional Park is another great destination for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. 4. Welch – 6
No pass is required to walk, fat-tire bike or snowshoeing in designated areas. PLEASE DO NOT hike or bike on groomed trails!! Skate skiers/snowshoes can be used on our groomed trails. The trail will be groomed for classic cross-country skiing and tracked for skate skiing and snowshoes. NO hiking or biking!
5. Snowmobiling 2022
Winter in Cannon Falls offers a whole new way to play. Hit the trails and try cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling. Wildlife watching is great in the winter, and even a simple hike is a whole different experience in the snow.
6. Ice Fishing
Ice Fishing on Lake Byllesby is a wonderful way to spend a winter’s day. Access the lake from Hwy 19 west of Cannon Falls or from Co Rd 17 on the north side of Lake Byllesby.
