Enjoy the outdoors on the patio, watch the waves crash on the shore, all while sipping your favorite cocktail (or mocktail!) and munchin’ on pizza and nachos. It’s one of our favorite summer activities!

Stop at Disgruntled Brewing and sample craft beers & seltzers while munching on popcorn made at Goose Gang. Did you know Perham is also home to Kenny’s Candy (the maker of Wiley Wallaby Licorice) & Tuffy’s Pet Foods (the maker of NutriSource pet products)?!

5. International Turtle Races & Turtle Fest
Yep, you read that right! Perham hosts International Turtle Races each Wednesday in June, July and August. We take pride in our turtles and their care! They are collected from DNR licensed trappers and live in an enclosure with swimming holes, sunbathing spots, fresh minnows and everything they need to thrive until they are released at the end of the summer. Perham also hosts Turtle Fest the third full weekend of June. We close off 3 blocks of main street for vendors, food trucks, activities for the whole family, music, street dance, contests and so much more!
6. Perham Lakeside Golf Course
Established in 1946, Perham Lakeside Golf Club is the lakes area’s premier 27 hole golf destination. Book a lesson with their in-house golf pro or hit some balls on the driving range before you play a round or two. Don’t forget to stop by the patio at Lakeside Tap after your done! Looking to make Perham your event destination? The Lakeside Event Center holds up to 450 people and can accommodate weddings, parties, corporate meetings, tournaments and other events.
7. Arts, Culture and Museums
Looking to learn more about Perham and Otter Tail County while you are here on vacation? Check out the East Otter Tail County Museum located in the historic building two blocks from main street or the In Their Own Words (ITOW) Veterans Museum on Main Street. Perham also has a growing art’s center that hosts events all year long, as well as live outdoor music performances during the warmer months. The Pioneer Grounds is home to Pioneer Days and The Black Powder Rendezvous each summer as well as snow cross racing and a holiday walk-through lights show in the winter!
