Perched on a rocky point between Burlington and Agate Bays on Lake Superior, the Two Harbors Lighthouse has been guiding ships into port since 1892. Built to help navigate ore ships in and out of the ore docks at Agate Bay, the lighthouse has been a beacon on the north shore for more than 125 years.
Since 1999, the Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast has been welcoming guests to the North Shore. Run by the Lake County Historical Society, all proceeds from the Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast go towards preserving and interpreting the rich history of Lake County, Minnesota.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast has eliminated common spaces and stepped up cleaning procedures to ensure guest and staff safety. Rent the historic keeper’s quarters for a quiet family getaway. Three guest rooms, each with a queen bed, share a full sized bathroom on the second floor. Bring your own board games or books and relax in the parlor or dining room. With a maximum occupancy of six people, retreat to the North Shore and be keeper for an evening.

Looking for a cozy getaway on the North Shore? Rent the Skiff House, a small cottage on the lighthouse grounds. This room offers views of the ore docks at Agate Bay, and includes a queen bed, half bath, and jacuzzi tub. Complete with a Keurig, microwave, and small fridge, this room has all the amenities of the big house on a smaller scale.
Both units have access to the lighthouse grounds and fire pit with sweeping views of Agate Bay. Bring yard games and enjoy the large grounds after the museum closes at 4 p.m. Order takeout from one of the local eateries and make the most of the beautiful grounds!
Located in Two Harbors, the Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast is just a short drive from four state parks and two scenic byways. The lighthouse sits above the DNR Agate Bay boat launch and across the bay from the active ore docks.
