EVERY WOMAN CAN is about women supporting women and working together to empower, inspire, and support each other on their journeys of womanhood. Being a woman is wonderfully challenging in today’s world and it is vital that we come together to create a supportive space and ignite important conversations.
Although Health Foundations Birth Center hosted this wonderful celebration, the event was not birth focused. EVERY WOMAN CAN kicked off the celebration of women gathering together, supporting one another in all of life’s challenges.
On December 9th we welcomed Ricki Lake and Abby Epstein, the makers of The Business of Being Born, whose work and life’s mission embody the spirit of EVERY WOMAN CAN.
Female folk-rock duo Amy Ray and Emily Saliers of Indigo Girls graced the stages of Aria with their popular musical stylings for the celebration. The women of Indigo Girls are not only known for their hit albums but for their voice in women’s activism and other human rights’ causes. A portion of the proceeds will be given to Esther Homes and Nurture Project International.
