During Winter SKOLstice, the Viking Lakes’ retail, sports, and hotel spaces are transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland, perfect for an evening with a special someone. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to show off your moves, ice skating under the stars is a great date night activity, and the Winter SKOLstice rink has plenty of space to glide across the ice—plus nearby bonfire pits to keep you warm. Just don’t forget to bring your skates!
If skating isn’t your thing, you can also explore Winter SKOLstice’s newest addition, the Minnesota Ice Maze! Together, you and your date can wind through hallways of rainbow lights and glittering ice. The maze is a fun challenge to navigate and a beautiful backdrop for Instagram-worthy photos. Be sure to reserve tickets in advance.
Warm up around the outdoor bonfire pits or cuddle up inside the Warming Haus, where you can impress your date at Trivia Night and relax to the sound of live music. The comfy couches and ambient candlelight set the mood perfectly.
You can also impress your date with dinner at Kyndred Hearth, Omni Viking Lakes Hotel’s on-site restaurant.
