Silver Strands, a Minnesota jewelry company, was ignited out of a love and deep appreciation of international jewelry artisans in Mexico, Italy, and here in the United States. Owner Mary McGaa Beck, a local with her own love for jewelry, was also curious and completely inspired by her own travels to international markets. Believing in the brand, she knew she wanted to be a part of it, and thus began her journey from a loyal customer, to an employee, to the proud owner of the company itself.
Over the years, McGaa Beck has ushered in an exciting refresh with contemporary designs, working diligently to embrace new trends while keeping timeless jewelry styles alive. Together with her daughter, Anna Sophia, and many jewelry-loving friends, they serve thousands of customers at the Minnesota State Fair and other venues each year—most of whom make it an annual must-stop shop and tradition with their friends and family.

McGaa Beck has an affinity and connection to each of the stone or pearl pendants she chooses for her collections. Each natural stone, semi-precious gem, and natural pearl has a different meaning to her, resulting in each piece being one of a kind.
