More women are participating in sports than ever before, thanks to the passage of Title IX mandating gender equality in education, and with more women dunking, running, throwing, kicking, jumping, carving, pedaling, and paddling also comes more injuries. In an effort to meet the needs of athletic and active women of all ages, TRIA is introducing a new Women’s Sports Program. Through this program, women are given the opportunity to partner with female specialists who tailor prevention and treatment plans to help them reach their goals. The comprehensive program offers care for pain and injury, in addition to services such as nutrition counseling, bone health, physical therapy, sports performance analysis, Pilates, and massage therapy. These specialists understand the unique needs of women at every age and level of their athletic pursuits, whether it’s supporting the marathon runner, the woman who walks around the block with friends, or the threesport high school athlete.
