OUR MISSION
The Twin Cities Kids In Need Resource Center (TCKINRC) provides students most in need with free school supplies that make it possible for them to fully participate in classroom learning.
KEY SERVICES PROVIDED
At TCKINRC, we work to ensure that students in need are prepared to learn and succeed by providing them with free school supplies. Our Center serves Min- nesota schools that have more than 70 percent student eligibility for free and re- duced lunch. Teachers from these schools pay nothing to shop at our store and leave with an average of $548 in product, easing their out-of-pocket expenses and relieving stress for parents. Our outreach programs, online shopping, and The Caring Tree grant allow us to reach additional students statewide. Last year, we helped more than 2,000 teachers at 134 schools, benefitting more than 84,000 students. TCKINRC is a program of the Kids In Need Foundation and an affiliate of its National Network of Resource Centers, including 39 other facilities nationwide.
