10th Annual Zombie Pub Crawl: A Night of Music, Fun, and Braaaains!

Looking for some pre-Halloween fun? Get out your fake blood, makeup kits, and ripped clothing because the Minneapolis Zombie Pub Crawl is taking over the Warehouse District next Saturday, Oct. 11. Bars will be open along First Avenue North between Sixth Street and Third Street, with zombie specials for the undead that walk the streets.

For the 10th year, enthusiastic revelers in their best zombie getup will be wandering from bar to bar and rocking out to some cool DJs, led by DJ Steve Aoki, on two different stages in downtown. The stages will be set up in Gluek’s and Fine Line’s parking lots, with doors opening at 4 p.m.

Other venues that will be open to the ravenous crowd include Mill City Nights, Brother’s, Cowboy Jack’s, Studio B, Imperial Room, The 508, Aqua, Skyway Theatre, Sneaky Pete’s, The Loft, Pizza Luce, The Loon, Uncle Buck’s, and The Pourhouse. You’ll find plenty of DJs spinning at these spots, as well as performances by musicians like Juicy J, Sugar Ray, Flavor Flav, and Prof.

And it wouldn’t be a true zombie fest without the World Brain Eating Championships. Kobayashi, one of the world’s greatest competitive eaters, will be challenging a previous winner’s record of 54 veal brain tacos in eight minutes.

To top it all off, if you plan to go, you could be helping break the Guinness World Record of largest zombie gathering. With more than 9,000 zombies, New Jersey stole it from Minneapolis last year, but this year the zombie leaders are confident that Minneapolis will go down in history as the city with the most zombies.
