Hold up, pumpkin spice latte (or pumpkin spice everything), it’s not your turn yet. You are just going to have to wait your turn like every other seasonal treat. It’s still time for apples to shine, and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is celebrating the tree-grown fruit with AppleJam at the Arb, the first-ever outdoor music festival at the arboretum.

Taking place from 7 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, AppleJam at the Arb invites visitors to bring their own seating and blankets for a night under the stars listening to the tunes of local indie group the Honeydogs featuring Adam Levy (the band’s only fall concert), with opening acts of singer-songwriter Dan Rodriguez and Two Hicks and a Chick with singer Ali Gray.

Be sure to bring your apple appetite as well. In addition to the musical acts, AppleJam at the Arb also features a starlight beer garden and eight tents of apple-themed appetizers, including pulled pork sandwiches with apple slaw and apple mini-donuts with Sebastian Joe’s ice cream. And when you are done filling up on all that sweetness, wash it down with some more sweetness with a variety of beers, wines, ciders, and nitro coffee from Sociable Cider Werks, Third Street Brewhouse, and Tiny Footprint Coffee. I can already feel my taste buds craving all of it, and my stomach regretting all of it.

The best part? All proceeds from this ticketed event go toward the gardens and programs at the arboretum, ensuring visitors can enjoy its beauty year-round.
