Open Mic Monday

What: Poetry Open Mic

Where: American School of Storytelling, 1762 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis

Poets and spoken-word artists of all kinds are welcome to participate in this monthly series of open mics, which host up to 15 writers for five minutes or three poems each. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and sign-ups are first come, first served.

Foodie Fun

What: Graze Your Face Off
When: March 27, multiple times starting at 5 p.m.
Where: Graze Food Hall by Travail, 520 N. Fourth St., Minneapolis

If you haven’t had a chance to try the new offerings at Graze, now’s the time. At this inaugural event, guests will receive traveling food passports to explore bites from each vendor at the food hall, plus all-you-can-drink beer.

The Beauty of Ballet

The renowned Columbus, Ohio-based BalletMet will bring an impressive program to Northrop’s stage—”Timeless Tide” depicts the gravitational pull of time, while “Four Seasons” brings the seasonal cycle to life through dynamic movement, and “Miroirs” plays on the idea of reflection in several forms.

Watch the country’s best break dancers (known simply as “breakers”) as they battle in a knockout-style competition for a spot in the National Championship. Tickets are available for purchase online.
