The Twin Cities Film Festival is back for its 15th year, with hybrid screenings, celebrity appearances, and other exciting events happening through Saturday. Catch some of this year’s highly anticipated releases and a record number of projects with Minnesota connections.

Let’s Talk Prince

What: Prince: Icon
When: Oct. 22, 7 p.m.
Where: 3038 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis

A visual anthology of Minnesota’s hometown hero, “Prince: Icon” features images from Prince’s close friends and colleagues, as well as performance and rehearsal photos, private moments, and candid snapshots. To celebrate the book’s release, Magers & Quinn Booksellers is hosting a conversation between Prince’s in-house art director, one of his musical collaborators, and a photojournalist.

What: Raw Stages: New Works Festival
When: Several events Oct. 25-27
Where: 30 E. 10th St., St. Paul

Be a part of History Theatre’s works-in-progress with staged readings and discussions aimed at advancing the work. Plus, this year’s new Salon discussions are intended to take a deep dive into play development and new works created around the Twin Cities.

Family Fun Run

What: Wayzata’s Boo Bash Dash
When: Oct. 26, 9 a.m.-noon
Where: Downtown Wayzata

Enjoy downtown Wayzata’s scenic fall landscape as you participate in a 10K, 5K, 1-mile race, or Family Fun Run. After the race, create a pumpkin-on-wheels for the Pumpkin Derby and participate in a pie-eating contest. Even if you aren’t a runner, the costume contest and Boo Blast trick-or-treating are open to everyone.

What: Monster Bash 2024
When: Oct. 26, 1-11 p.m.
Where: 550 Vandalia St. #160, St. Paul

Celebrate Halloween early at Lake Monster Brewing’s Monster Bash. Guests can enjoy craft beer, food, live music, a makers market, tarot readings, and a costume contest. This year’s theme is ’80s and ’90s, so be sure to dress accordingly!

Immigrant Songs

What: The Concert Version of the Musical Kristina
When: Oct. 26, 4-6 p.m.
Where: 3900 Bethel Dr., Arden Hills

Inspired by the real stories of Minnesota’s Swedish immigrant communities, legendary ABBA songwriters Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson composed the musical “Kristina från Duvemåla” and traveled to Minnesota for its North American premiere with VocalEssence in the ‘90s. New audiences now have a chance to listen as VocalEssence revisits the music for the first time in 30 years.

A Halloween Whodunit
