Dining Out for Life

Help fight AIDS on Thursday, April 26, by participating in Dining Out for Life. Join more than a quarter-million diners at one of nearly 3,000 participating restaurants across the country. All you have to do is make a reservation with friends and enjoy your meal. Each restaurant, including more than 180 located in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Alexandria, Duluth, Lanesboro, Mankato, and St. Cloud, will donate a significant portion of their proceeds to the cause.

All of the proceeds stay in their respective communities. In Minnesota, proceeds will go to The Aliveness Project, a local nonprofit organization that provides on-site meals, food shelf, and other supportive services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families; and to Rural AIDS Action Network, which serves those affected by HIV/AIDS throughout Greater Minnesota.

Dining Out for Life was created by an ActionAIDS volunteer in Philadelphia in 1991. Each year, the charity raises more than $3 million for 60 HIV/AIDS service organizations across the United States. Last year here in Minnesota, the one-day event raised $197,000 from sponsors, restaurants, and diners like you. The restaurants and sponsors would love to do that again this Thursday. So if you are looking to celebrate a special event, dine out during your travels, or just want to contribute to a good cause, make your reservation at one of these participating restaurants on Thursday.
