The weather may be cooling and the snow may be threatening to fly, but that doesn’t mean the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum shuts down. Actually, the 1,000-acre site—the largest public garden in the Upper Midwest—is bustling year round (except Thanksgiving and Christmas), and offers fun events nearly every single day. You can grab a cup of hot chocolate and explore the winter landscape with an expert tour guide, take a cooking class, enjoy some great exhibits, hear some holiday music, snowshoe with the family, or enjoy afternoon tea.
This Saturday night, Nov. 12, is for the ladies. During Divas Night Out at the Arboretum’s beautiful Oswald Visitor Center, ladies can enjoy wine tastings and food samples (plus more cocktails and appetizers for an additional price). The BZ Girls, a local acoustic pop and jazz duo, entertains while Ruth Lordan gives psychic readings. Guests can watch a fashion show and enter to win fabulous prizes. Plus, there’s shopping! Nearly 30 booths will be on display selling holiday gift items like home décor, jewelry, clothing and more. And, the Arboretum’s gift store offers a 10 percent discount on all purchases, too.
Info: $25 gets you wine tastings, food samples, and a feather boa. Men are welcome, too (though the feather boa is optional).
