Enter to Win a Free Golf Vacation

Minnesota is known for many things: the (late, great) musician Prince, the Mall of America, Cheerios, masking and Scotch tape, waterskis, the Bundt pan, inventing the first battery-powered heart pacemaker. We live in a state filled with creative, innovative, smart people.

One thing that we might not be as well known for (but should be!) is that—according to Golf Time magazine—we have more golfers per capita than any other state in the country. Not Florida, California, South Carolina, or Arizona. MINNESOTA. (You know, that state that’s buried in snow nearly half the year?)

Research conducted by the Minnesota Golf Association found that 31 percent of Minnesota’s household population plays golf (approximately 700,000 residents consider themselves golfers). When the weather cooperates, that’s a heck of a lot of people hitting the links.

At last count, there were more than 500 courses in the state (and 19 golf resorts), some near the metro area, some within a few-hours’ drive, all providing a tremendous value and variety. We not only have hundreds of courses scattered throughout the state, we host a lot of big deal golf events, including all USGA championships, the Walker Cup, Curtis Cup, Solheim Cup, and soon-to-be 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National.

And now, courtesy of Explore Minnesota, you can win a fun Minnesota golf vacation this summer including a two-night stay at Jackpot Junction Casino and two rounds of golf at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club—an 18-hole championship course built on 240 acres of rolling countryside in the southwestern city of Morton. It’s easy to enter, just click on this link and state which Minnesota course is your favorite and why: Explore Minnesota Golf Contest.

The contest runs from now through June 17.

Good luck!
