With Halloween just around the corner, Minnesotans big and small are planning their costumes, buying candy, and going in search of a little spooky fun. If you’re in need of a scare this Halloween season, check out what the Twin Cities has to offer for some frightful fun!

The Butcher Shop House of Gore Haunted House

Daily now through October 31 | 5 – 11 p.m.; 5 p.m.-midnight on October 31

Thrill-seekers might try this gore-filled haunted house with live monsters, ghosts, and other terrifying illusions. Although there is no age restriction, children must be accompanied by an adult and should use discretion – all those who enter may be ‘attacked.’

Fright Farm

Ramsey County Sheriff’s Fright Farm Haunted House is located right in the heart of the Twin Cities in a century-old barn.

Trail of Terror

The largest Halloween event in the Midwest, Trail of Terror has spine-chilling attractions like a haunted house and frightening forest walk as well as some scare-free events for those who spook easily.

Halloween Haunt at ValleyScare

Valleyfair as upped the ante with indoor & outdoor mazes, scare zones, and plenty of spooky live shows in addition to their rides and attractions. But during the day, kids can come for some not-so-spooky Halloween fun!

Scream Town

One of the largest, scariest events in the Twin Cities, Scream Town boasts three haunted houses, a haunted maze, and a haunted forest.

ZooBoo at Como Zoo

ZooBoo is a non-scary, family-friendly Halloween event that offers safe trick-or-treating, a few animal visitors, live entertainment, and craft projects.

The Haunted Basement at The Soap Factory

Now – November 1 | 6 – 11 p.m.

In it’s ninth year, The Soap Factory’s Haunted Basement features artist-designed horrors for those 18 years or older. If you can’t muster up the courage, there are a select number of ‘Fraidy Cat tours of the Haunted Basement – with the lights on!

Room Escape Adventures

Big Thrill Factory, 17585 Highway 7, Minnetonka, MN 55345
Wednesday – Sundays | Four show times per day

You and 11 others have one hour to escape the room with a hungry zombie chained to the wall. Every five minutes a buzzer sounds & the chain is released another foot from the wall. Teams need to work together to solve riddles to find their way out.

If you are looking for fall fun without the frights, head to Sever’s Corn Maze. The Midwest’s original corn maze is back for another year of fall fun. This year, the maze is train themed and the maze challenge has you looking for ‘Conductor Sever’ throughout. Families welcomed.

Nightmare on Hennepin Street Halloween Pub Crawl

Hennepin Street

Pull out your Halloween costumes and hit the streets of Minneapolis for the hottest Halloween party. Admission to the event includes drink vouchers and there will be drink specials and costume contests at various venues along Hennepin.

Haunting Experience on 61

After dark visitors can check out the huge 3D house of horror, the mile-long hayride of terror, a corn maze, and scary movies galore.

Test your bravery in the Haunted Acres, but be warned, children under 12 need adult supervision. It’s also a fundraising event—food donations are accepted.
