Finding a reason for happy hour is pretty easy: Birthday? Absolutely. New or leaving co-worker? Sure. Finished the week without (or because of) a meltdown? Why not!
But selecting a place to go? That’s becoming increasingly more difficult in the Twin Cities, as we’re morphing into quite the dining destination.
With so many hot chefs, bright mixologists, and new restaurants, the decision is difficult.
So it’s weeks like this that I welcome: Yelp Drinks 2012, a program offering 50 percent off drinks at participating Minneapolis restaurants, started yesterday and runs until this Sunday the 15th.
That’s all the direction I need:
-
Barbette
- Bradstreet Craftshouse
- Bryant Lake Bowl
- FACES Mears Park
- Masu Sushi & Robata
- Modern Cafe
- Pat’s Tap
- Red Stag Supperclub
- Saffron
- Solera
- The Sample Room
- Town Hall Brewery
- WXYZ Bar
Each establishment selects three drinks to offer at such a deal, and Yelp provides that list if you want to check them out in advance. Note: Discount drinks are offered during each establishment’s regular business hours. No coupons are needed, just mentioned Yelp.
Once you’ve been warmed up, just move on to Minnesota Monthly‘s own Wine Week: April 13-22 where your second glass of wine is just a dime!
