The first Friday of each month brings forth Bryant Lake Bowl & Theater’s horrid tribute to “monster science.” The Uptown hub kicks off its 2023 run of this show by the esteemed “Reverend Matt” on Thursday, with a multimedia exploration of the lore of a certain fuzzy, friendly species of monster: the Muppets.

The Twin Cities’ magnificent, recently opened performance space for drag shows, Roxy’s, in Loring Park, hosts an ongoing series of dinner shows celebrating the divas, from Barbra Streisand to Whitney Houston and others. Impersonation is at the heart of this flashy new entertainment venue, and the playful premise of this show is to guess which stars will show up. (Read our 2022 feature on Twin Cities drag here.)
