Three artists, using three different mediums, explore our relationship with the world that lives below the surface and our desire to understand it, in the Minnesota Marine Art Museum’s current suite of exhibitions, The Big Catch. Each exhibition has something for anyone who has ever wondered what lies beneath the ocean, has been lured by the catch, and is struck by the wonderment of our underwater world. Featuring lifelike fish prints by master gyotaku artist Dwight Hwang, paintings invoking the emotional drama of the literary classic Moby-Dick by Kimble Bromley, and illuminated sculptural lanterns highlighting the fragility of marine life by Kristian Brevik.
