Cats Galore

What: Cat Video Festival

MyTalk 107.1 and St. Paul Saints are bringing the Cat Video Festival back to the Twin Cities. They are partnering with Bitty Kitty Brigade, and $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to their organization to provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population. Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased here.

Dance through Art

What: SculpTour 2021
When: Thursday, August 12, 6-7 p.m.
Where: Walker Art Center, 725 Vineland Pl., Minneapolis

Enjoy the Walker’s Sculpture Garden with a 40-minute workout/dance tour designed by choreographers Abigail Whitmore and Annika Hansen. The tour will give you a kinesthetic interpretation of the sculptures in the garden while showing you moves to shake it out.

Star Gazing in the Park

Where: Kohler Meadows Park, Vadnais Heights

Watch the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower at Kohler Meadows Park. The Vadnais Heights City Council has granted special permission for the community to view the meteor shower in the park after hours.

Caffeine Crawl

What: Twin Cities Caffeine Crawl
When: Saturday, August 14, starting at 9 a.m.

The Caffeine Crawl features over a dozen excellent local coffee companies with four different routes starting all over the Twin Cities. The event brings together curious drinkers of any level for an educational tour of cafés and roasters. Tickets for all four routes are $34.50 and can be bought on the website.

India in a Day

What: IndiaFest 2021
When: Saturday, August 14, 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
Where: Minnesota State Capitol Grounds, 75 Rev Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard., St. Paul

India Association of Minnesota (IAM) will hold its annual IndiaFest this weekend. The free event will celebrate the rich heritage, traditions, diversity, and culture of India. The State Capitol lawn will be set up with delicious Indian cuisine, a beer garden, Bollywood music, exhibits, and cultural displays.

Museum Party

What: Block Party @ Minnesota Children’s Museum
When: Saturday, August 14, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Where: Minnesota Children’s Museum, 10 West Seventh St., St. Paul

The Minnesota Children’s Museum is celebrating 40 years of play by throwing a big, family-friendly block party. The event will feature a live DJ, mini golf, a paint house, games, and more.
