Downtown Anoka is coming alive this Saturday with food, drinks, and more. The Anoka Food Truck Festival is free and open to the public and has fun for the family—dogs and people alike. The event is partnered with Feed My Starving Children to ensure that all the feasting and festivities will also support a good cause.

What: Minneapolis Mile Car Show
When: Saturday, August 21, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Where: Minneapolis Convention Center, 1301 Second Ave. S., Minneapolis

A gearhead’s paradise, the Minneapolis Mile Car Show is playing host to a variety of different automobiles. Everything from muscle cars and motorcycles to Teslas and Smart Cars will be on display for ticketholders. Food and drinks will be available so you can spend all day finding your dream car.

History and Art

What: Inner Structures-Outer Rhythms: Contemporary Arab and Persian Design

Where: Minneapolis College of Art and Design, 2501 Stevens Ave., Minneapolis

Experience another world at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design starting on Friday. Thirty contemporary designers from the Middle East/North African region have provided a wide array of pieces inspired by their home’s culture. The exhibits on display provide an intimate look into the history and art of a unique region.
