Crayfish Party

What: Crayfish Party Drive-Thru & Picnic
When: Friday, August 27, 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
Where: American Swedish Institute, 2600 Park Ave., Minneapolis

The American Swedish Institute will be hosting a Crayfish Party this Friday! Take your meal away with the drive-thru or join the picnic at the Turnblad Mansion. However you choose to eat, you’ll be sure to enjoy the same level of fun and festivity you’ve come to expect from the popular crustacean feast.

Beer Festival

What: Summer Beer Dabbler 2021
When: Saturday, August 28, 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m.
Where: CHS Field, 360 N. Broadway St., St. Paul

The 12th annual Summer Beer Dabbler is a craft beer fest with more than 130 breweries offering samples of over 400 beers, so you’re sure to leave quenched (and then some). The Beer Dabbler will be complete with live music featuring Nur-D and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Band, Monica LaPlante, and DJ Hayes. General Admission tickets start at $50.

Race Down River

What: Red Bull Urban Portage
When: Saturday, August 28, 8:30 a.m.
Where: Father Hennepin Park, 100 Sixth Ave. SE, Minneapolis

In collaboration with the Loppet Foundation, Red Bull Urban Portage will be hosting both a marathon-distance and half-marathon-distance paddle and portage race on the Mississippi River. The race will begin at Father Hennepin Park following the river all the way down to B.F. Nelson Park. Read more about the inspiration behind the event.

Whiskey Tasting

What: Minneapolis Summer Whiskey Tasting Festival
When: Saturday, August 28, 2:30-6 p.m.
Where: Williams Uptown Pub & Peanut Bar, 2911 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis
