It’s a big weekend for concerts in the Twin Cities.Rufus Wainwright and José Gonzales will be performing together and debuting their new albums at Northrop at the University of Minnesota on Thursday, and rock legend Bob Mould of Hüsker Dü (!) will be playing songs from his latest album, the politically charged Blue Hearts, at First Avenue on Saturday.

Painter Teo Nguyen’s latest art showing of large-scale photorealistic paintings will be available for viewing at the Reedy Gallery at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum this Thursday. Paintings include abstract and realistic works, with some inspired by the Arboretum itself.
A Moving Movie Night
What: Walker Cinema and Bentson Mediatheque Reopens with KEON

KEON is a black-and-white short film of “uncensored Black joy captured in the course of one day” through the lens of the titular character, an aspiring photographer working on his college entrance portfolio. It is produced by E.G. Bailey (one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film and a recipient of the 2021 Bush Fellowship) and Shá Cage, winner of an Emmy and multiple Ivey awards and holder of TCG, McKnight, and Lloyd Richards New Futures Fellowships.
