What: Family Friday Easter Eggstravaganza

Where: Midtown Global Market, 920 E. Lake St., Minneapolis

Midtown Global Market will offer a handful of family-friendly festivities at this event, including balloon art, egg coloring, selfies with the Easter Bunny, live music, and more.

“Sad Girl” Indie

What: Snail Mail with Joy Again
When: Friday, April 15; 7 p.m.
Where: First Avenue, 701 N. First Ave., Minneapolis

Snail Mail is hitting the road following the release of her latest album, Valentine, where alt rock meets “sad girl” indie. An opening performance from Joy Again will kick off the show at First Avenue.

Sweet Ride

What: Pastry Ride
When: Saturday, April 16; 9-11 a.m.
Where: Ride starts at Perennial Cycle, 3342 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis

This community bike ride is family- and beginner-friendly. The 4- to 6-mile route will finish at an outdoor space where riders can gather and re-fuel with delicious pastries.

A Heartwarming Musical

What: The Prom

Where: Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis

The hit musical comedy about Broadway stars in a small town is coming to the Twin Cities. Performances begin April 12 and run through April 17 at the Orpheum Theatre.
