Elevated Spring Flowers

What: Art in Bloom 
When: April 28-May 2, two showtimes per day
Where: Virtual Event 

The 38th annual Art in Bloom—the show-stopping event whereby beautiful botanical creations complement works of art at Mia—takes a digital form this year that includes the usual floral interpretations and opportunities to give back to the community at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Check out the specialized talks with the artists at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday night, where they’re set to talk about their influences.

Night at the Cabaret

What: Love is in the Air
When: April 29, 7 p.m.

Ring in the spring season with a bit of love from the St. Croix Valley Opera’s production of Love is in the Air. The show features Minneapolis-based pianist Kevin Werner Hohlstein accompanying singer Jennifer Eckes through classic tunes (think: the Great American Songbook, Broadway, New York cabarets). 

Flea Market and Craft Fair

What: Big Red Barn Sale 
When: May 1, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Where: Bruentrup Heritage Farm, 2170 E. County Rd. D, Maplewood

The Maplewood Area Historical Society adheres to COVID-19 precautions while bringing in over 40 vendors of food and crafts and a live band playing ’50s and country music. Safely indulge in the fried food on stick while perusing vintage sellers and artisan crafters. 

Revisit the ’80s and ’90s

What: Twin Cities Vintage Fest
When: May 1, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Where: Familia Headquarters Indoor Skatepark, 835 E Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis

Rain or shine, take a shopping outing back to the past at this indoor and outdoor event following COVID-19 safely guidelines. More than 30 vendors sell vintage clothing, toys, video games, and more accompanied by a live DJ and food trucks for a nostalgic afternoon. 

One-of-a-Kind Jewelry

What: Jewelry & Accessory Makers Mart 
When: May 1-2

Bookish Bonding
