The Winning Response
As soon as I saw this photo, I immediately shot a picture of it to my neighbor who grew up in Hibbing. Over the past 20 years, we have been hearing about what it was like to grow up in Hibbing in the ’70s from him and how they would play flashlight tag and hide-and-go-seek in the mines. After I sent this to him, he immediately called and said that this was the one they played in! Hull Rust Pit Overlook! World’s largest open mine pit. He called it Brooklyn’s (MN) playground!
