The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra: Beethoven, Coleman and Ibert
Quintets made up of SPCO musicians perform a work written in tribute to a larger-than-life legacy as well as Ludwig van Beethoven's Storm quintet. Valerie Coleman is the Sandbox Composer-in-Residence during the SPCO’s 2024.25 season. Her work "Shot Gun Houses", written in tribute to Muhammad Ali and his work as a global citizen, is “a conceptual offering to what a community and nation can be through social responsibility, deep respect and fellowship.”
