Back by popular demand, The State Ballet of Georgia’s original film gets an encore on Northrop’s plaza in a special outdoor screening. Created specifically for Northrop audiences, this peek at the Georgian ballet company features gala-style excerpts of ballet repertory, interviews with Artistic Director Nina Ananiashvili and featured dancers, and breathtaking views of the State Opera and Ballet Theatre and the city of Tbilisi. A 2021 Finalist for the Gospel Music Choice Awards in the Instrumental Artist of the Year category, saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Daniel James Felton recently released his EP, Breath of God. Earning his Master's in Music Education at the University of Minnesota School of Music, Daniel has taught music in Minneapolis, Osseo, and Spring Lake Park. He is currently the Director of Instrumental Music at DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis.

In an extension of the Why Canoes? exhibit on Northrop's fourth floor Gallery, Northrop Plaza will reverberate with Micronesian harmonies when The Milanesians—the Micronesian community in Milan, Minnesota, take to the stage. Known as an oral society, Micronesians convey information in their music, their traditional chants tell of past events and changing cultural patterns.
