User Submissions

User submissions include, but are not limited to, posts to the GM discussion boards, submissions to the commentary spaces, and all other content provided to any GM Web sites by a site visitor.

1. You are responsible for all of your submissions.
You may not post any messages misrepresenting yourself as someone else, or using a false e-mail address. In GM forums and content contributions, you must post under your own username, and are responsible for all posts from your account.

2. Your submissions may not infringe upon others’ use and enjoyment of the GM Web sites.
Do not post any material or links to material that is libelous, defamatory, false, obscene, violent, abusive, threatening, harassing, prejudicial, or is otherwise in violation of the law or GM’s guidelines. (If you see a violation of this policy in a GM discussion space, please e-mail amorrissey@greenspring.com)

3. You must have the rights to what you submit.
You may only submit content for which you have the copyright or other specific permission to distribute electronically. You may not violate, plagiarize, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, or proprietary rights. You acknowledge that any submitted materials are in the public domain.

4. You grant us rights to what you submit.
When you submit materials to the GM Web sites, you grant us an irrevocable, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to redistribute or republish the information in any medium or form.

5. You may not submit content for commercial purposes.
You cannot use GM Web sites, including but not limited to the discussion boards, for commercial purposes, nor to distribute or otherwise publish any material containing requests for money, advertising, or solicitations and promotions of goods and services.

6. You hold us harmless.
GM does not endorse and is not responsible for any statement, opinion, or advice given or made by anyone other than authorized GM representatives. All postings are those of the author, and you rely on such information at your own risk.

7. Your submission may be removed by us at our discretion, for any reason, or not posted at all.
We will enforce the policies above through not posting offensive content, and removing such postings from the discussion boards. In instances of willful abuse, we reserve the right to take whatever action it determines is appropriate, including the termination of access privileges and legal action.

Fox Cities Convention & Visitor’s Bureau 2022 Giveaway Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

  1. Promotion: Welcome to the contest (“Contest”) presented by Minnesota Monthly and Fox Cities CVB (“Sponsor”). No purchase necessary to enter or win, and no deposit, entry fee, payment, or proof of purchase is necessary to participate in this contest.
  2. Contest Period and Description of Contest. The Contest shall commence on March 21, 2022. The period from the Start Date to the End Date shall be known as the “Contest Period.” Contest will close at 11:59 pm CST on Monday, April 4, 2022.
  3. Acceptance of Rules and Terms. By submitting an Entry (defined below) each Participant agrees that he or she has reviewed and accepts these rules (“Rules”) and the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
  4. Each Participant agrees to abide by these Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
  5. All eligible participants (“Participants”) entering the Contest must comply with all terms and conditions of these Rules.
    • Participants may enter as outlined in Section 6 below.
    • The Contest is open to U.S. residents who, on the date of entry, are at least 18 years of age or older.
  6. How to Enter. To enter the Contest, Participants will submit their first name, last name, email address, phone number and zip code.
    • Sponsor shall not be liable for any problems that occur during the entry process, including without limitation, late, incomplete, delayed, undelivered, or misdirected entries, and shall not have any obligation to advise an entrant of an incomplete, invalid, or undeliverable submission. No illegible, incomplete, forged, or altered entries will be accepted.
    • Limit One (1) Entry per email address.
  7. Selection of Winner. At the end of the Contest Period, one winner will be randomly selected.
  8. Selection of Winner. All valid registrants will automatically be entered into a random drawing to win the prize. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
    • Winner will be contacted via email or phone to claim their prize package. Prize package must be redeemed at the client’s location (DoubleTree by Hilton Neenah, Radiance Spa in Downtown Neenah, and Sante Wine Bar & Bistro) unless otherwise noted by a Fox Cities CVB representative.
    • Room nights not valid during EAA, home Packer games, New Years Eve, or other special events. No cash surrender value. Based upon availability. Advance reservation required 72 hours prior. Expiration date: 1/31/2023.
  9. Prize Value. Total prize value is $500 and includes: a 2-night stay in a standard room at DoubleTree by Hilton Neenah, a spa gift card for 2 at Radiance Spa in Downtown Neenah, and a gift card for Sante Wine Bar & Bistro
  10. Registrants agree that their names, email, location, social media posts, and/or photos and videos tagged in response to contest posts may be used for marketing and sales purposes by the Sponsor and its affiliates at their sole discretion. By participating in the Contest, the Winner agrees to refrain from any behavior or communication that would harm the image or reputation of Minnesota Monthly or Minnesota Monthly user community. YOU FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOUR PERSONAL IDENTIFYING INFORMATION MAY BE DISCLOSED TO THIRD PARTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PLACING YOUR NAME ON A WINNER’S LIST.
  11. Additional Terms and Conditions. The decisions made by Minnesota Monthly management regarding, but not limited to, eligibility, winners, scoring, travel arrangement, rules, prizes and compliance with Minnesota Monthly’s standards of conduct. No correspondence will be entered into. Minnesota Monthly reserves the right to make reasonable changes to these terms, (a) to ensure the fairness of competition, and (b) in response to unanticipated developments (such as technical failures, errors, acts of God, natural disasters, terrorism, and changes in applicable law.
  12. Choice of Law and Disputes. Choice of law Disputes shall be subject to the provisions in Minnesota Monthly’s terms of service, which are hereby incorporated by reference, which contains a binding arbitration clause and a class action waiver.
  13. Conditions of Participation and Limitations of Liability.

By participating, entrants hereby release, hold harmless, covenant not to sue, and forever discharge Sponsor, its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, divisions, dealers, advertising and promotion agencies, and all others associated with the development and execution of the sweepstakes or contest, and each of its and their directors, employees, officers, and agents from and against any and all third-party claims, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, expenses, injuries, or causes of action of any kind that in any way now or hereinafter may arise from or relate to the sweepstakes or contest, including without limitation (i) the administration of the sweepstakes or contest, such as typographical, printing, seeding, human or other errors relating to or in connection with the sweepstakes or contest, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prize or any related materials, inaccurate, fraudulent, incomplete, illegible, late, lost, stolen, misdirected, undelivered, incomplete, or damaged entries, any delays in delivery or lack of availability of the prize or prize materials and/or (ii) entrants’ participation in a sweepstakes or contest offered by Sponsor or their acceptance or use of a prize, or participation in any prize related activities, including, without limitation, any travel related thereto, and death and bodily injury (including emotional distress), due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in the sweepstakes or contest or any sweepstakes or contest-related activity and for any claims or causes of action based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy, liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of any prize or participation in any prize-related activities.

Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found to be (i) acting in violation of these Rules or (ii) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the applicable sweepstakes or contest, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Without limiting the foregoing, in the event Sponsor is prevented from continuing with a sweepstakes or contest as contemplated by any event beyond its control, including, without limitation, a force majeure, fire, flood, epidemic or other national health emergency, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared,) or any federal, state or local government law, order, or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, public health crisis, or other cause not reasonably within its control, then Sponsor shall also have the right to modify, suspend, extend or terminate the respective sweepstakes or contest. In the event that a sweepstakes or contest is terminated, cancelled, or postponed for any reason whatsoever, the ARV of the prize(s) will be awarded to the extent required by law.

Minnesota Monthly’s Pizza Bracket Challenge Official Rules

  1. Promotion: Welcome to the “Pizza Bracket Challenge” (“Contest”) presented by Minnesota Monthly (“Sponsor”). No purchase necessary to enter or win, and no deposit, entry fee, payment, or proof of purchase is necessary to participate in this contest.
  2. Contest Period and Description of Contest. The Contest shall commence on June 18, 2019 (“Start Date”) and conclude at 11:59PM on July 28, 2019 (“End Date”). The period from the Start Date to the End Date shall be known as the “Contest Period.”
  3. Acceptance of Rules and Terms. By submitting an Entry (defined below) each Participant agrees that he or she has reviewed and accepts these rules (“Rules”) and the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

  6. How to Enter. To enter the Contest, Participants will select one restaurant per bracket line up to cast their vote. Participants must use a valid email address to cast their vote.
    1. Sponsor shall not be liable for any problems that occur during the entry process, including without limitation, late, incomplete, delayed, undelivered, or misdirected entries, and shall not have any obligation to advise an entrant of an incomplete, invalid, or undeliverable submission. No illegible, incomplete, forged, or altered entries will be accepted.
    2. Limit One (1) Entry per person during each bracket contest Period. Bracket Contest Periods are defined as:
        • Round 1 Voting: June 17 – 11:59 pm CST June 30, 2019
        • Round 2 Voting: July 1 – 11:59 pm CST July 7, 2019
        • Round 3 Voting: July 8 – 11:59 pm CST July 14, 2019
        • Round 4 Voting: July 15 – 11:59 pm CST July 21, 2019
        • Round 5 Voting: July 22 – 11:59 pm CST July 28, 2019
  1. Selection of Restaurant Bracket Winner. At the end of each Bracket Contest Period, the restaurant with the most valid votes will move on to the next voting round. Each round will reset votes to zero (0) at the beginning of the voting round.
  2. Selection of Registrant Winner. All valid registrants will automatically be entered into a random drawing to win one (1) $50.00 gift card from each of the final two restaurants, for a total prize package of $100.00. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
    1. Winner will be randomly selected on or around July 29, 2019. Winner will be contacted via email on or around July 29, 2019 and have five (5) business days to claim their prize package.
    2. If the winner does not claim their prize package within five (5) business days, a new winner will be randomly selected. Contest reserves the right to cancel the contest at any time.
  3. By participating in this campaign, you will be opted into receive Minnesota Monthly’s dish newsletter. You may opt out at any time. You will also receive a 2-year subscription to Minnesota Monthly’s print publication at no additional charge. If you already have a subscription, 2 additional years will be added to your account.
  4. Publicity. Prize winners agree that their names, location, social media posts, and/or photos and videos tagged in response to contest posts may be used for marketing purposes by the Sponsor and its affiliates.   2. Entry Period and Description of Feature. Entries shall commence on May 1, 2019 at 8 am CST. Entries will be accepted until June 15, 2019.

  6. How to Enter. To enter, Participants will upload an image, along guardian first name, guardian last name, email address, city, child’s age and child’s name.

Sponsor shall not be liable for any problems that occur during the entry process, including without limitation, late, incomplete, delayed, undelivered, or misdirected entries, and shall not have any obligation to advise an entrant of an incomplete, invalid, or undeliverable submission.     3. To be featured in print, entrants must live in Minnesota and be under the age of six months old at the time of the submission.
