Minnetonka Center for the Arts Spring Classes
To support its mission to expand visual arts education for all ages, interests and abilities, the Minnetonka Center for the Arts announces the vast and varied lineup of the spring 2025 session. Alysia Nelson is a Twin Cities native who's been dabbling in mixed media for the last several years. A self-proclaimed creative thinker who "borrows from friends." Her work began out of necessity as a form of personal art therapy or, as she prefers to call it, "creative emotional processing." The striking photographs depict the stark realities of homelessness. The title, No More Turning Away, challengers viewers to confront these realities. This event, in collaboration with People Incorporated, is also a fundraiser for housing and mental health awareness.

Groveland Gallery announces the opening of In Memoriam, a special exhibition of new works by William Murray. Running just three weeks, and opening May 3 (3-5pm), the show will feature twelve framed paintings depicting Northern Minnesota and the northern Great Lakes.
