2009 Uptown Art Fair

SPECIAL ADVERTISING SECTION

August 7-9, 2009

Welcome to the 47th Annual Uptown Art Fair!

What began in 1963 as a small neighborhood event has grown to become one of the top 10 fine arts festivals in the country. A highly competitive juried art show, the Uptown Art Fair receives an average of over 1,000 applications from which an esteemed panel of judges selects around 360 of the country’s best artists (translation: only excellent work to be seen here).

This year’s theme, “A Fusion of Art, Flavor and Flair,” demonstrates how the Art Fair brings together art from around the world and fuses it with the Uptown area’s distinctive flavor and flair. Our show is truly a labor of love made possible by the generosity of sponsors, local businesses, volunteers, and those who support the arts. Our hope is to add some artistic flair to your life while showing you the many wonderful flavors of Uptown.

Spend a sunny afternoon strolling the booth-lined streets in search of creative original works of art (in a wide range of price points), meet the artists behind those creations, and know that you’ll be spicing up your wardrobe, yard or house with a piece of art that you can’t buy just anywhere. In addition to seeing all of that impressive artwork, you can take the kids to a FREE family-friendly performance, enjoy delicious festival food and beverages, and know that you’re doing something good for the arts community. Thank you for being a part of the 2009 Uptown Art Fair!

Sincerely,
The Uptown Art Fair Steering Committee
Uptown Association
