Maker Series: Willful Goods: Join Araya Jensen, founder and designer of Willful Goods, as she demonstrates the making of one of her signature wood bowls in this workshop. Bano eeMee Trunk Show: North Loop boutique, Queen Anna, hosts a trunk show featuring the latest collection from Toronto-based luxury leather jacket line, Bano eeMee. The sustainable-certified brand was founded in 2012 by designer Aleem Arif, who uses leather that is a byproduct of the food industry sourced from Turkey, Italy, and Arif’s home country of Pakistan. Project Runway Takes Over StevenBe: Meet Project Runway alumni Christopher Straub of season six and Samantha Rei of season 16 at this event hosted by knitting supply shop and studio, StevenBe. Both will sign copies of their books—including Straub’s line of illustrated children’s books and Rei’s book on steampunk and cosplay fashion design and illustration—and showcase their design talents in a “make it work” design challenge. Straub will also debut his new children’s book, The Unabominable Yodi along with a coordinating plush toy and enamel pins, and Rei will have pins from her new ReiHay collection for purchase.
