A New Era Begins: Grand Casino Arena to Take Center Ice in St. Paul

The Minnesota Wild’s home gets a bold new name—and a deeper cultural connection—with Grand Casino’s 14-year naming rights partnership

There’s a bold new name coming to downtown St. Paul—and it’s more than just a sign change. Starting Sept. 3, 2025, the home of the Minnesota Wild will officially become Grand Casino Arena, thanks to a 14-year naming rights partnership between Minnesota Sports & Entertainment and Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Hinckley, owned by the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe.

The transformation signals more than a rebrand—it marks a deeper investment in Minnesota’s future by one of its most iconic tribal enterprises. “This is more than a name change—it’s a signal of where we’re headed as a business,” said Ronda Weizenegger, Chief Executive Officer of Grand Casino, in a recent release. “Grand Casino Arena represents the strength of tribal enterprise, and our ongoing investment in Minnesota’s future. We’re proud to partner with the Minnesota Wild to bring this vision to life.”

Expect all-new signage, immersive fan activations, and an infusion of Grand Casino’s vibrant spirit into one of the region’s most beloved entertainment hubs. The arena will continue to host over 150 major events a year, from NHL games to chart-topping concerts and world-class tournaments.

As St. Paul’s skyline—and story—continues to evolve, Grand Casino Arena is poised to become the beating heart of a reinvigorated downtown. Roll the dice, drop the puck, and get ready for what’s next.
