As a thoracic surgeon at North Memorial Health, Dr. Mark Solfelt specializes in surgery for the lungs, the pleural space surrounding the lung, and the chest wall. His practice primarily involves lung cancer surgery, as well as patients with trauma to the lung and chest wall and surgical treatment of severe infections that involve the lung and the space around the lung. Dr. Solfelt’s goal is to perform a well-designed and perfectly executed surgical procedure in a way that is as minimally invasive as possible, often with robot-assisted technology, to set the stage for the quickest and fullest recovery.
Dr. Solfelt partners closely with the North Memorial Health Cancer Center to build a team around his patients and coordinate their care so that it is efficient and effective, providing them with comprehensive surveillance imaging and follow-up care following lung cancer treatment.
