Dr. Margaret Shipitalo is an optometrist at OVO LASIK + LENS specializing in LASIK and cataract pre- and post-operative care, as well as comprehensive eye care. A native of Austin, Minnesota, she earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in global health from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Dr. Shipitalo graduated cum laude from Ohio State University, earning both her Doctor of Optometry and a Master’s degree in Vision Science. She then completed an ocular disease residency at the Cincinnati Eye Institute, where she received advanced subspecialty training and extensive perioperative experience. After returning to Minnesota, she joined North Suburban Eye Specialists, providing comprehensive optometry and surgical care alongside Dr. Mark Lobanoff. Today, she brings that experience to OVO, helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their vision correction journey.
