North Loop restaurant Moose & Sadie’s has announced on social media that it will not reopen.

“With immense sorrow, we have closed our doors for the last time,” the note from owners Peter Kirihara and Susan Muskat reads. “The economic impact of this crisis was just too much for our small business to overcome.”

The restaurant was a celebrated spot for patio dining, and fit well within the bustling North Loop of the present day. For anyone who worked in downtown Minneapolis, this was a crucial and welcoming lunch spot. Moose & Sadie’s follows an increasing line of Minneapolis restaurants—including the Bachelor Farmer just a few blocks away—that have closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
