Before crinkling your nose at the idea of scrambled eggs in your morning joe, hear me out. The fresh, hot coffee at the Salem Lutheran Church stand at the Minnesota State Fair is hand-held paradise. Raw eggs are mixed into the coffee grounds, and a splash of cold water into the simmer causes the eggs to form a submerged raft—like nature’s own French press—pulling all the coffee’s bitterness out and leaving behind a smooth, light taste and an extra amp of caffeine.
