Eaux Claires Festival returns after eight years away

The beloved Eaux Claires music festival, originally founded by Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and The National’s Aaron Dessner, returns to (you guessed it) Eau Claire, Wisconsin, this July 24-25 after an eight-year hiatus. The two-day event has a new home at the city’s Carson Park.

Organizers announced a star-studded lineup today for the festival, including Aimee Mann, Bon Dylan, Dijon, Lil Yachty, Larry Goldings Trio, Gully Boys, and many more regional, national, and global acts.

New this year are the festival’s writers in residence, who will bring a literary element to the gathering with readings and discussions. Some of those writers include Wisconsin essayist (and Vernon’s mentor) Michael Perry, Sheila Heti, Katie Ka Vang, and Sean Thor Conroe.

In addition, a new Eaux Claires Days fair will come Carson Park, featuring activities and special events for the public in the days surrounding the music fest itself.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, Feb. 13, with fan pre-sales opening at 9 a.m. and remaining tickets opening at 11 a.m. eauxclaires.com
