It’s Tito’s Handmade Vodka’s 25th birthday, and we’re celebrating all summer long! In the more than two decades since America’s original craft vodka was first created in Austin, Texas, the vodka brand has become a staple across America. This summer, break out a bottle of Tito’s, mix up your cocktail routine, and whip up one of these 10 summer favorites.
Vodka Spritzer
We’re starting simple with the Vodka Spritzer, a staple cocktail that can be enjoyed by all (21+, of course!). Add your Tito’s to some soda water or sparkling water, mix in a bit of simple syrup and fruit juice of your choice, then top it off with your favorite summer berry. Popular picks include raspberries, strawberries, or blueberries (or all the above!).
- 1½ ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 1½ ounces fruit juice of choice
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- 1 cup soda water or sparkling water
- Optional: Berries for garnish
- Mix all ingredients in a glass with ice and stir.
- Garnish with fresh or frozen berries.
Lemon Drop
Put a grown-up twist on your summer lemonade and serve up a sweet ‘n’ sour Lemon Drop. Combine a shot of Tito’s with a half an ounce of triple sec and some freshly squeezed lemon juice in a cocktail glass. To sweeten it up, add an ounce of simple syrup and garnish the rim with sugar.
- 1½ ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- ½ ounce triple sec
- Lemon wedges
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- Optional: Sugar for rim
- Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a twist of lemon and a sugar rim, if desired.
Sea Breeze
For fans of fruitiness, the Sea Breeze (a Lake Breeze, since we’re in Minnesota?) contains Tito’s, cranberry juice, and grapefruit juice, shaken up to create a foamy surface. Garnish your glass with a lime wedge if you’re feeling fancy.
- 1½ ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 3 ounces cranberry juice
- 1½ ounce grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
- Optional: Lime wedge for garnish
- Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice, shake, and pour into a glass (including ice).
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
Spiked Peach Tea
Iced tea and America’s smoothest vodka are a match made in heaven. Mix your sweetened black iced tea, peach liqueur, and vodka in a pitcher for a refreshing afternoon drink.
- 1½ ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 1½ ounces peach liqueur
- 2 cups iced tea
- Optional: Lemon slices for garnish
- Fill a glass with ice and pour in the Tito’s, schnapps, and iced tea.
- Garnish with a lemon slice, if desired.
Pro-Tip: For a batch, triple all the ingredients and combine in a pitcher with ice, stir, and serve.
Creamsicle Punch
Remember the Creamsicle ice cream bar? Well, indulge your summer memories of chasing the ice cream truck with the Creamsicle Punch, a creamy drink sure to please at your summer backyard parties. Combine Tito’s, orange juice, ginger ale, and prosecco in a punch bowl, then add scoops of vanilla ice cream and orange slices.
- 2 cups Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 2 quarts orange juice
- 1 liter ginger ale
- 1 bottle prosecco
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream
- Optional: Orange slices for garnish
- Pour all the ingredients into a punch bowl and stir. Add ice cubes as needed.
- Ladle into cups and enjoy!
Blue Hawaii
Who says trips to the lake can’t feel like a tropical vacation? Beat the heat with the Blue Hawaii, a colorful coconut and pineapple drink with distinctive ocean-blue hues. Originally created in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1957, this drink consists of Tito’s, rum, pineapple juice, sweet and sour mix, and of course, the blue curaçao which creates its distinctive color.
- ¾ ounce Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- ¾ ounce light rum
- ½ ounce blue curaçao
- 3 ounces pineapple juice
- 1 ounce sweet and sour mix
- Add ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake well.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with a cocktail umbrella for clout!
French 76
Pop the champagne for this one! To make the French 76, shake an ounce of Tito’s, some freshly squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup with ice and strain into a chilled glass. Top off this refreshing drink with some champagne or sparkling wine for the perfect toast to summer memories (and Tito’s birthday!).
- 1½ ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
- Pour the Tito’s, simple syrup, and lemon juice into wine glass or champagne flute and stir.
- Top off with champagne or sparkling wine.
Spiked Strawberry Smoothie
It only seems right that America’s smoothest vodka should find its way into a smoothie. Get some strawberries from the local farmers market, slice ‘em up, add in a few ounces of Tito’s, lemonade, and ice, then blend until smooth.
- 5 ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 4 ounces lemonade
- 8 strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups ice
- Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth or desired consistency.
- Pour into a tall, chilled glass.
Cherry Limeade
Think pink with this spiked Cherry Limeade. Shake up some limeade, lemon-lime soda (i.e., Sprite or Sierra Mist), grenadine, and Tito’s, and strain into a glass. Pop in some maraschino cherries and lime wedges for added color and fun!
- 1½ ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 2 ounces limeade
- 1 ounce grenadine
- Lemon-lime soda
- Optional: Lime wedges and maraschino cherries for garnish
- Add Tito’s, limeade, and grenadine to a shaker filled with ice. Shake well.
- Pour shaker contents into a glass and top with soda to the brim.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and maraschino cherries, if desired.
Cucumber-Mint Cooler
Perhaps the most refreshing cocktail on this curated list is the Cucumber Mint Cooler. You might find the nonalcoholic version of this beverage in a day spa, but the fresh flavors of cucumber and mint work just as well alongside the crisp, chilled vodka and hint of lime.
- 1½ ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 2 ounces soda water
- ½ ounce lime juice
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- 4-6 cucumber slices
- 6 mint leaves
- Add all ingredients (except soda water) to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a glass over fresh ice.
- Top with soda water, and garnish with fresh mint.
Tito’s Shack Cherry Sour
We’re closing out our list with Tito’s Shack Cherry Sour because this drink occupies a special place in Tito’s history. Back in 1997, Tito himself added black cherries into one of the early bottles, creating the first-ever Tito’s infusion. This cherry concoction is an ode to the enduring fan favorite through the years.
- 1½ ounces Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- ¼ ounce orange liqueur
- 1 ounce cherry juice
- ¼ ounce lemon juice
- 1 egg white
- Add all ingredients to a shaker and dry shake.
- Add ice and shake again.
- Strain into a glass (including ice) and serve.
