Having moved to Minnesota from out-of-state, there are many things that have made me love living here and truly feel at home. One area that stands out for me is that Minnesotans don’t hide from our winter weather. Instead, the state truly embraces all four seasons. The work that Minnesota Ice does is a key piece of winter experiences in the Twin Cities and something that I am proud to be a part of.

As an event manager, the opportunity to collaborate with an amazingly creative and hardworking team that is focused on taking winter activities to new heights here is something that makes my job at Minnesota Ice exciting each and every day. When it comes to events here, summer is always looked to as the peak of the season, from the State Fair to weddings, sports and countless other festivals or outdoor gatherings. Our team is dedicated to ensuring Minnesota is also looked at as a winter event destination that provides unique, and ever-changing, seasonal fun for residents and visitors from across the country and world.
Producing outdoor events can be uniquely challenging in the winter, with unpredictable weather and ever-changing temperatures requiring an ability to always be ready to adjust your plans. We all certainly saw this over the past winter, as record-high temperatures affected many of our cold-weather traditions. That obstacle, however, is what drives us to keep growing our events and ensuring that Minnesotans have even-better experiences to look forward to this winter.
The temporary and challenging nature of so much of what our talented crew produces, from ice sculptures to mazes to ice bars, is actually what makes it so memorable. It’s something you can only experience during a small window of a particular season but that still leaves a lasting impression. I have great memories of all of these events I’ve attended over the years and am honored to now be a part of helping build that experience from the ground up.

We’re passionate about building events, products, and experiences that create warm memories during our chilliest winter months and bring people together to enjoy all our beautiful state has to offer.
