We all know the heat and humidity that comes with Minnesota summers. These are the days we look forward to all winter as we bundle up and take part in the many special winter events our state has to offer, but the heat can also get uncomfortable quickly. And during the summer, keeping things cool becomes a big challenge, especially for people celebrating at outdoor parties, working in areas without power, or attending an outdoor festival. For us, that challenge became an opportunity to help.
As we’ve expanded our products at Minnesota Ice, we found there was a need for packaged ice that can be delivered to customers. We’ve worked in the packaged ice industry for years, delivering thousands of bags of ice every summer to gas stations, convenience stores, and grocery stores around the state. Why couldn’t we find a way to deliver that same ice to those who need it for their event or worksite? We know people don’t want to be making multiple trips a day to gas stations or grocery stores, and that isn’t always possible.
Enter our mobile ice freezers. Each one holds about 100 18-pound bags of packaged ice, and we will deliver the trailer full of ice to your event. Even better? It doesn’t matter if you’re in a location with no power or electricity, we also have generators to keep the freezers running. We come out and refill the freezers throughout the event or during the job if it runs for more than one day.
Since we introduced the trailers, the demand has skyrocketed. Beating the Minnesota heat isn’t always an easy feat, and businesses and events are looking for any way to keep people cool. We’ve had everyone from event and festival organizers to construction crews to wedding parties reach out about bringing a mobile freezer trailer to their site.
I’m proud of the continued innovative and outside-the-box thinking our team practices day in and day out. As we’ve established ourselves as experts in the ice industry, customers have come to rely on us to address the challenges and needs they’re experiencing.
Our goal is to provide the best experience possible for our customers, and we know being outside during all the Minnesota seasons is important to our community, whether it’s during the icy cold winters or on balmy summer days.
