For over 25 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities and our generous community partners have been collecting gifts during the holiday season for our Kids Can Give event. Each BGCTC Club Site then creates a special holiday store at their Club location where Club members can “shop” for items to bring home as gifts for their loved ones. Kids Can Give is a special time at the Clubs. Members love having the experience of shopping for their loved ones and picking out gifts to express their gratitude for the people they appreciate the most.
To help spark gift donation ideas, we’ve created Amazon and Target wish lists sorted by K-8, teens, and families, which can be found on our website. Items that are purchased through our wish lists will be sent directly to our donation collection site at our Mt. Airy Club site. While you shop for Kids Can Give, we encourage you to find gifts for our wonderful Club teens! We want to ensure that all our members are being thought of as gift donations begin to roll in. If you are not able to shop, you can still participate by making a donation here!
If you are looking to get more involved with Kids Can Give, a great way to do so is by setting up your own gift drive at your place of business. We love seeing our community and corporate partners create their own gift drives leading up to the gift drop-off deadline! We have also created a Kids Can Give marketing toolkit to help you promote your gift drive in your community. Additionally, Kids Can Give is a great way to get involved with the Clubs by volunteering at one of our 13 Club sites around the Twin Cities during their store days. Volunteer opportunities include helping members shop at stores, wrapping gifts, participating in holiday activities, and much more!
