Sword fights, fairy wings, turkey legs, and timeless revelry—the Minnesota Renaissance Festival returns for its 54th season this summer, inviting guests to discover the magic that awaits just south of the Twin Cities. Open weekends from Aug. 16 through Sept. 28, 2025, plus Labor Day and Festival Friday (Sept. 26), this beloved tradition blends immersive entertainment, hands-on fun, and fantastical adventure for all ages.
As you pass through the castle gates, you’ll enter a 16th-century village alive with the sounds of laughter, music, and merry chaos. With new attractions, fan-favorite performances, and themed weekends, 2025 promises to be a season to remember.
New in 2025
Two exciting additions debut this season. At the Wicked Wand Workshop, young wizards and curious crafters alike can design and build their very own enchanted wand—perfect for spellcasting, costume flair, or sparking the imagination. Meanwhile, the Ninja Warrior Challenge dares festival-goers of all ages to test their agility and balance on a medieval-meets-modern obstacle course. Whether you’re earning bragging rights or just enjoying a playful physical challenge, it’s bound to be a crowd favorite.
Endless Entertainment Across 16 Stages
Live shows are at the heart of the Renaissance Festival, and 2025 features performances ranging from daring swordplay to slapstick comedy. The live combat joust brings high-speed excitement as knights in shining armor battle for glory. Beloved comedy acts like Puke & Snot and The Tortuga Twins return to deliver the perfect mix of wit and ridiculousness. Street performers roam the grounds, so surprises and laughter are always just around the corner.
Feast and Shop Like Royalty
The festival is known for its legendary eats—think giant smoked turkey legs, hearty scotch eggs, mead, and deep-fried everything. Festival food booths serve up a rotating menu of festival favorites and new culinary creations.
In the Artisan Marketplace, over 250 artists offer everything from hand-forged swords and leather corsets to whimsical pottery and fairy wings. Whether you’re shopping for the perfect costume piece or a handmade keepsake, you’re sure to find something magical.
Come for a Day, Return for the Season
Each weekend features a different theme, including popular favorites like Wine, Chocolate & Romance, Highland Fling, and Woofstock. Costumes are welcome (and highly encouraged), and themed contests, games, and parades ensure no two visits are the same.
Discounted tickets are available now at RenaissanceFest.com. Come ready to cheer, feast, explore—and most of all, play. The 2025 Minnesota Renaissance Festival is calling.
